Rather funny… Freud would have a field day with this guy… But a coked out perv like Freud…? I would hit that, but only if Johnny Weir were the alternative…I don’t care for power bottoms.

I haaaaate this trend of saying anyone who is antigay is gay, isn’t that somewhat homophobic? It’s like episode of sitcoms where they would wear blackface to prove racism is wrong. A lot of people are just HOMOPHOBES, plain and simple.

The first photo of Putin with the woman saying “Bitch Please” made me laugh out loud. I hope it’s true that he’s gay and comes out so all the anti-gay bullshit in Russian can’t stop immediately!

@Pistolo: While social and psychological theories, based on work with mental patients and severely ego-dystonic homosexuals explained sexual orientation for some clinicians, no responsible research or analysis corroborated the resulting armchair speculation. Schools of psychology had a body of beliefs ranging from child rearing practices to learning models. When psychological theories were in vogue to “cure” homosexuals, reports of “cures” were extremely rare and supported by weak criteria such as “seriously thinking of going with the opposite sex.”81 Most psychoanalysts who saw homosexuality as a neurotic manifestation caused by faulty family interactions now reject this hypothesis.82 Sigmund Freud, founder of the psychoanalytic movement, never condemned homosexuality.83
Studies do not support theories about father absence or faulty family interactions causing homosexuality. For example, no research supports there are more African-American homosexuals, where father absence is relatively higher than for caucasians. There are no more homosexuals in father-present versus father-absent families.84 There is a weak link to poor relationships with fathers, most likely the result of rejection of a gender incongruent child and emerging homosexuality.85 Particularly when comparing bisexuals, transsexuals, transvestites, and self-accepting and ego-dystonic homosexuals, researchers cannot ignore familial, community, religious, and social influences on sexual orientation expression.86 Even with a genetic or biological predisposition to homosexuality, cultural and personal influences should be considered when discussing sexual orientation.87

In 1973, the American Psychiatric Association removed homosexuality as a mental disease or personality disorder from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.88 Ego-dystonic homosexuality, unwanted homosexual urges in natural homosexuals, is psychopathological. Many psychologists and psychiatrists see homophobes as pathological with disordered personality traits.89 Using psychophysiological instruments, many homophobes become sexually aroused when viewing homoerotic materials. They are either unaware of the arousal or deny it.90 Homophobia is an important issue and often needs to be addressed to preserve the self-esteem of homosexuals.91 Through stigma management, some homosexuals establish personal growth and better self-esteem.92 Many researchers show self-accepting homosexuals are as psychologically healthy as heterosexuals.93 Particularly when introduced to materials about the biological basis for sexual orientation, attitudes toward homosexuals can be changed.94 Religiosity and level of education are negatively correlated with attitudes toward homosexuals and women and those who know sexual minority individuals appear to have more positive attitudes toward homosexuals and bisexuals than do men.95 Homophobia in some appears to be a developmental issue related to defensive styles used to manage a range of psychosexual developmental anxieties in boys and men.96 Homophobic males appear to have difficulty relating to males in general.97

I know how it is when facts and not speculation are used. Do you?

Putin is so anti-gay that it’s difficult to think of him as gay himself. But it’s fun to have a laugh at his expense, although I personally wish he would dry up and blow away.

So let’s see now, any male athletes who slap each other on the butt are seen as secretly gay. Any male who touches another male…gay. And now apparently any male who takes off his shirt and shows his bare chest publicly is a sign of being gay too.

Sometimes, I think gays are more homophobic than the homophobes.

@Kieran: Don’t you understand? To some gay folk everyone is a gay just waiting to happen…It only takes the right guy or girl to change you…Too bad that everyone is not gay…Certainly would fix that over population thing…

Wow! Is all I can say… wait that’s not entirely true. Eveyone knows he’s closeted with all the gay hating he does on a regular, the homophobia had to come from somewhere.

@Kieran: Many gays, particularly during their adolescent and time of coming out, are very homophobic and repressed until they find themselves with a gay group that is accepting. Then the homophobia tends to reduce dramatically. Technically you are correct. People who merely hate homosexuals because of their background and religious nonsense are not true homophobes. They have no fear of homosexuals only a bigoted viewpoint towards them.
