Wachowski Brothers Still Exist!
"Lana" But A Myth
We've got some bad news for you guys. Larry Wachowski is not becoming a woman. The internet's been buzzing for days that the filmmaker - who teamed with his brother, Andy, to bring us The Matrix - has been taking hormones to become Lana.
Fox News' Roger Friedman, however, did a bit of digging and discovered it's all a hoax.
That's too bad. We would have loved to see a trannie titan in Hollywood.

I dunno. I'm a bit skeptical of Friedman's report. It's pretty much classic Fox News drivel, with about 80% of it being obvious opinion. Also, I found the article confusing because the focus seemed to be on whether or not Wachowski had had "the operation"–that's right, "a sex change." Meaning, of course, what is the state of the genitals. Also, someone sayingWachowski "looked like a man to me" isn't the best source on whether or not that person is transitioning.
So who knows. Obviously, unless Wachowski makes a statement her(or him)self, we won't know the truth. But this article sounded curiously dismissive.
Edited to add, there has been talk of L. Wachowski wearing women's earrings and other clothing for a long time. Maybe s/he is a cross-dresser, or identifies on a less binary level. Just saying, this whole "Is he or isn't he" buzz seems too focused on surgery and stuff and doesn't leave room for other possibilities.
