As gay geeks already know, today is unofficially national Star Wars day. To celebrate we could offer a list of everything that’s queer about the franchise —light sabers, Chewbacca’s ambiguous relationship with Han Solo, Hayden Christensen (kidding!) — or we could just show you this video.
Steven Sansweet, former director of content and head of fan relations for LucasFilms, not only reveals he’s gay but that he’s been in a relationship for his 37 years. Sansweet, who now runs Rancho Obi-Wan, the world’s largest Star Wars museum, shares the secrets for their longevity and how their partnership has been its own epic adventure.
