WATCH: Adam Lambert Makes Us Feel Good

Jamie Foxx just needs to go away. Adam Lambert, on the other hand? OMG WE LUV U!!! Performing the endlessly covered “Feeling Good,” Lambert bowed in a shimmery white suite and only 85 percent of his usual foundation makeup. And if Lambert makes it all the way to Idol champ? That will be a new dawn, a new day.

Actually I wasn’t that impressed with Adam’s performance last night and I am a big fan. He seemed to be coasting a little bit as if he already had it in the bag. Jamie Fox on the other hand was surprisingly astute especially when you consider the disaster of Quentin Tarintino a couple of weeks ago.

@Giovanni: If that’s his “coasting” mode, then he’s better than most think. But I didn’t get that feeling. Rather, I thought the performance was impeccable.

@rsquared: I agree, if that was “coasting” then the other contestants REALLY need to be worried.

I do see how maybe his performance wasn’t as shockingly good as some of his other ones, but I think that’s just because we’re all getting used to the fact that he’s going to knock it outta the park *every* time…

And I’m glad that his confidence and “sass” are coming back. For awhile I think he was trying too hard to be modest and humble, which while it’s important to not come off as too cocky (hehe), he still needs to show everyone that he’s not too meek to *own* the stage. Last night’s performance was a nice return to that assuredness he carries so well. :)

Love that song, so glad to hear a competent version of it on this show…but it didn’t rock my world. I’m a dedicated Lambert fan, but I almost think I’d call this his worst performance so far. Of course, Adam’s worst is better than most performers’ best, so I’m not overly worried for him. I’ll have to check dialidol.com to make sure my lack of worry is founded.

@vernonvanderbilt: agree entirely except that the antigay casual voters will be checking in from this point forward. Last night was too over the top for them.
