WATCH: Aussie Actor Harry Cook Comes Out As Gay And “Madly In Love”

On Sunday, Australian actor Harry Cook, perhaps best known as Geena Davis’s son in the Aussie coming of age dramedy Accidents Happen, came out as a gay on YouTube. Cook, 22, says he was worried about the ramifications coming out would have on his career, but having played straight all through high school he realized there was no logic to his fear. He adds that making the video was a great relief to him. Cook also reveals that he’s “madly in love” and didn’t want to go through life hiding anything. You can see Cook next in the indie drama Drown, described as a “big night out” when “jealousy, homophobic fears and unrequited lust culminate in a tragic booze-fueled episode of near-fatal bullying.”
