Coming from a president sworn to uphold the constitution and a constitutional law scholar who believes it is OK to deny marriage equality, it wasn’t cute or funny. It was appalling. To make jokes about the small amount of equality we have is just like the jokes about whites only water fountains of generations ago. The oppressed become the oppressors. Regardless of creed, color, or ideology, bigotry is still bigotry.

And that he has not even so much as nodded to the gay community but instead jokes about our civil rights.
