KISSING TO BE CLEVER

WATCH: Bill Hader On Making Out With Ty Burrell And How Stefon Fans Want To Hook Up With Him

Bill Hader, fresh from earning unanimous raves at last week’s Sundance Film Festival for his nuanced performance as a very complicated gay man opposite Kristin Wiig in the dramedy The Skeleton Twins (the latest from out director Craig Johnson), stopped by Conan O’Brien to discuss the film and his love scene with Modern Family‘s Ty Burrell, who plays a former lover.

“They cut it from the movie, but we had a pretty hot make-out scene,” Hader shared. “They cut it out of the movie, which really bummed me out. I called Ty and said ‘Remember that wonderful night we had together? Well, they cut it.'” Hader adds that his wife is a huge fan of Burrell and when he returned home from the set after filming the scene, she gave him a passionate kiss and said, “That’s the closest I’ll ever get to kissing Ty Burrell.”

O’Brien also asked Hader about his SNL years. The actor recalls an experience (watch it below) in Manhattan when he was stopped by a somewhat overzealous male fan who announced, “I so want to fuck Stefon!” Hader, cradling his newborn daughter in a Baby Bjorn, kept his composure and replied, “Oh, thank you, thank you very much.”
