The entertainer has released the video for “Work Bitch,” the infectious lead single off her upcoming album (due Dec 3) and in it Spears poses suggestively but generally leaves the heavy lifting to the back-up dancers. We miss old Britney, bitch.

Britney can’t sing, let alone dance. She ripped a lot of money off her fans, including her gay ones, by lip-synching or miming in her concerts. She got rich off a form of cheating.
As to her videos, she doesn’t seem to embrace the gay male aesthetic, does she? Where are the hunks? Instead, she embraces the sleazy straight guy fantasy, filling her videos with half-naked women and pseudo-lesbian imagery. Doesn’t this suggest a contempt for her gay male fans?

Other female pop acts who fill their videos with half-naked women and/or pseudo-lesbian imagery include Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera and Madonna. These women have, at one stage or another, been highly popular with gay men. What’s going on here?
Do gay men adore women who dabble in pseudo-lesbianism? How bizarre. Wouldn’t it be more respectful of these female pop acts to put hunks and male-male eroticism in their videos, seeing that we gay guys contribute heavily to their bank accounts?
I suspect that the gay media has been hijacked by these female pop acts’ marketing teams, filling us with propaganda about how gay male-friendly these women are when, in fact, their marketing suggests a certain discomfort with embracing the gay male aesthetic.
Isn’t it time we woke up to this? Maybe we should be telling the gay media that we are not going to be told whom to like. I personally will NOT buy anything from these female pop performers.
