WATCH: Don’t Ask Don’t Tell Harms Straight Soldiers, Too

The dashing First Lt. Dan Choi, who played grand marshal at San Francisco’s Gay Pride Parade, is on hand to remind mainstream America why we have these giant street celebrations. But more importantly in this CNN interview, Choi inserts a fresh Don’t Ask Don’t Tell talking point: The anti-gay policy hurts straight soldiers too, since kicking out gay soldiers rips apart a unit, which harms all of the troops.

Oh, and tomorrow? That’s when Choi “will face a panel of colonels who will decide whether or not to fire me — to discharge me for ‘moral and professional dereliction’ under the military’s ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy.”
