Edith Windsor, whose lawsuit against the United States was the challenge that brought down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) today, spoke to the press and said she’s “honored and humbled and overjoyed…to represent not only the thousands of Americans whose lives have been adversely impacted by the Defense of Marriage Act but those whose hopes and dreams have been constricted by the same discriminatory law.”
The 83-year-old took a surprise call this morning from President Obama, who thanked her for coming out and making a positive difference in the country.

Estate tax is double taxation. Thanks, Ms. Windsor, for all you have done for us.

Happy for her

And she and no one else should be paying estate taxes. The government already got their share of that and they are trying to get a 2nd bite at the apple. There is nothing that the government and far leftist won’t try to tax.
