Like grandmother, like grandson? Yes, in the case of Elizabeth Taylor and Quinn Tivey (pictured) anyway. The direct decendant of the Hollywood legend and pioneering AIDS activist is carrying on her legacy with GenerationCURE, a campaign aligned with amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research.
Nearly 40 percent of all new HIV infections in the US are among the age group 13-29. So generationCURE, a committee of the American Foundation for AIDS Research, is part of a coalition that supports today as National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day.
“I think it’s important to continue and expand upon the work of those who went before us,” Tivey says, in reference to his iconic grandmother, herself the founding international chairman of amfAR. “Our generation did not start the fight, did not institute the level of awareness, support, and research that exists today, but it is our responsibility to continue it. Awareness is crucial for support, research, and also for making smart choices, such as having safe sex.”
As the saying goes, from the mouths of babes…
How about we take this to the next level?

In addition to Ms. Taylor’s sense of social justice, it looks like someone also inherited her eyes!

@Caleb in SC: i know!! those eyes were stunning on her, but on a handsome guy like him…………..OMG. I could stare at them all night.

@hudson: Keep staring at the face! I googled images of him and it looks like he is a tea cup poodle compared to other men and most women.
Hunter
@Caleb in SC: Is that supposed to be a bad thing?
Caleb in SC
@Hunter: Well, I am fairly tall, and like a guy around my height. Easier to do certain things. 😉

@Caleb in SC:By certain things I hope you are referring to walking and holding hands and other appropriate things to hint at on a public site 🙂 I do like his blue eyes, they are almost the same color as mine, I like that.
