Out actress Ellen Page’s Viceland TV show Gaycation doesn’t air until March 2, but the channel has made the entire first episode available for us to watch (and judge).
The show follows Page and gay bff Ian Daniel as they explore LGBT cultures and rights across the globe in places that are a bit more gay-friendly (Brazil) and some that are definitely not (Jamaica).
The first episode finds the twosome headed to Japan for a bit of nightlife and some exploration of the antigay laws and culture, since same-sex marriage is illegal and gay couples still face societal stigma.
Watch below, and tune in when it settles into its home on Viceland Wednesdays at 10 p.m. starting March 2.
How about we take this to the next level?

My partner and I watched it on youtube the other night. It is excellent. The hosts’ commentary is intelligent and entertaining, and the travelogue of Japan is fascinating. It makes me want to visit. Congratulations to all involved in the production.

Dc, sounds intriguing. I don’t watch T.V. accept for Antiques Roadshow, but if it ever releases onto the internet, I’ll check it out. Thanks.
