If you were among the Emmy viewers on Sundays who were miffed Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series winner Jim Parsons didn’t give much of a shoutout to boyfriend/fiance Todd Spiewak in his acceptance speech, you can blame Charlie Sheen.
Parsons was on Conan last night and explained what happened:
“I winged it. The only time it worried me was right before the category. And then lo and behold Charlie Sheen walked out. That was so confusing to me [that] it kind of took all the pressure away. I forgot we were gonna do the category, I forgot what I was gonna say if I did have to go up there…I didn’t thank one single person and nobody noticed because Charlie was behind me.”
You hear that Charlie? You might have a career as a professional distraction.

In his defense, nobody thought he was going to win again. It was supposed to be Steve Carell, so I buy that he might not have put anything together beforehand.

Yes, because remembering to say something about the person you are engaged to is so incredibly difficult for somebody whose JOB is remembering lines.

Since some of you apparently didn’t watch the Emmy Awards, know that as soon as he got on stage he muttered that his family assured him that this wasn’t going to happen. Also, he didn’t know what to say and left early off stage in his usual awkward manner.
He messed up, but didn’t do it on purpose.

That is a lie. He listed a long list of names and his partners name was in the middle of that list.
Everybody else says “My beautiful wife, by wonderful fiance, etc… he named off a list of names with no distinctions. So why are you lying and trying to make it seem like he was out?
