WATCH: Former “Full House” Actor-Turned-GoGo Boy Blake McIver Tries To Forget In New Music Video

Blake McIver, a familiar face in the ’90s due to his work in TV shows like Full House and films like The Little Rascals, is again appearing before the cameras following a much-publicized detour as a go-go dancer in West Hollywood gay bars. The 28-year-old has filmed a gay-themed music video for a self-penned song titled “Wish I Didn’t Need You,” which finds the entertainer haunted by the end of a love affair.

Actually he wasn’t a familiar face, he was basically an extra in a few episodes, and yet suddenly these articles are coming out. Sounds like he has a very decent P.R. firm who first got his name out there by claiming that a “Full house Actor” was a go go boy, and now he just HAPPENS to have a song out.

Another unknown that Queerty wants to turn into some sort of gay celeb. Yup, the PR check cashed.

IMDb credits him with appearing in nine episodes as the character Derek Boyd, so he would hardly be considered an “extra.”

@Will G: 9 episodes for a series which ran for how many years again? Yeah, he isn’t even up to the level of an Extra.
And the song sucked so bad that at 1:07, I unmuted a MASH rerun.

Why pick on him? He didn’t write the headline or refer to himself as a regular – that was just hype written to get people to read the article. Yes he only did 9 episodes of “Full House” but, for his age at the time, he had a fairly respectable career from 1993 thru 2004 – better than 30 performances on 20 different shows (or movies). I have friends in the business that would kill for that kind of a resume.

I really don’t like this song it’s very, child star/ trying to impress the judges vocals sorta like the way he proformed when he was a child, he always annoyed me. He does not have a very good pop music voice, but I think he de a lot better on broadway or porn. He definitely looks like falcon studios exclusive power bottom in there new movie west hollywood story. The acting was abysmal it was like when they ask athleats or porn starts to act. He should get rid of the Kim Kardashion’s P.R people get a new P.R team And move to NYC and should try and get him on broadway…hello Adele Dazeem….they should also get him into the actors studio it worked for Marilyn Monroe it could for him. He has potential….

Yeah, sorry… whomever he is (I watched that show religiously and I don’t recall him), he’s pretty, worked out body, great gaze, but his voice is not suited to this music — and the person that decided those drums were ok should be flogged in an unkind way. I wish it was good!
