This week Frank Ocean released the official music video for “Pyramids,” the second single off his debut album, Channel Orange. Given the scrutiny about Ocean’s sexuality, we’re not sure what we expected—unicorns and rainbows? an Andrew Christian promo?
What Ocean and director Nabil delivered is what MTV rightly called “a defiantly dark, definitively druggy thing—a near eight-minute nightmare of excess, hallucinations and violence.” Whether you dig the clip or not, it’s another way Ocean is reminding us that sexuality doesn’t necessarily dictate creative expression.

I saw the video already on another site. While I do love it and understand what a bit of the story he’s displaying in the video, I do wish that he included part 1 of the song in the video too. I really listen to all 10 minutes of it, and there’s not a single part I do not like
