HOMO FOR THE HOLIDAYS

WATCH: Ho! Ho! Ho! It’s “RuPaul’s Christmas Ball” From 1993!

Back in 1993, before Dida Ritz was a glimmer in her drag mother’s eye, RuPaul hosted a wacky holiday special that apparently only aired in the UK. RuPaul’s Christmas Ball was part downtown scene, part public-access show and part celebrity funfest, with appearances by a very young Sherry Vine, Boy George, Eartha Kitt, La Toya Jackson and Elton John. Plus, special X-Mas greetings from Taylor Dane, Little Richard—and Nirvana!  (You think Ru smells like Teen Spirit?)

At 50 minutes, it’s a little much to digest all in one sitting (kind of like our mom’s Christmas ham). So bookmark this shit and keep coming back all season long!
