AllOut has a penchant for making moving videos with powerful messages. We loved their dramatic piece protesting St. Petersburg’s new anti-gay laws set to Tchaikovsky, but this new one has a decidedly more modern soundtrack: David Guetta/Usher’s “Without You.” Watch this heightened version of Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, and see if you can’t hold back a tear.

I actually feel really bad because this surprised me a lot. I got surprised because Ban Ki-Moon is from South Korea and that country has not always been so liberal when it comes to LGBT issues. I didn’t expect him to say to me, to us, that we are not alone. I didn’t expect him to side with us. I guess that means that I have prejudged the man as well and I truly am sorry for that.
Thank you, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon. I hope that the future LGBTs are not as cynical, judgmental and defensive as I am. I hope that they are not given the reason to be those things because it will prevent them from seeing the beauty of other people.

All of the clips were very moving. Sign the petition. They’re half way there.
