Home (Music video featuring Alan Gendreau) from Ben Carver on Vimeo.
Back in April former Middle Tennessee State kicker Alan Gendreau had hoped to become the first openly gay football player chosen for the NFL. Unfortunately, that dream wasn’t to be so handsome 24-year-old continues to persevere with a new goal in mind — becoming the first gay Michael Buble. Well, not exactly…but he has recorded a wistful rendition of the Canadian crooner’s hit ballad “Home.” Does Gendreau have the goods to go all the way to the top of the charts?

The voice and song are OK but the lip synching gives Britney a run for her money – awful.

Not a bad voice for country ballades, but definitely not a Michael Bublé. There is absolutely no comparison in vocal ability/quality.

As the Italian saying goes: “All comparisons are odious.” I don’t know about Gendreau, but Buble has had decades of training plus performing experience. Give this guy a chance; that’s a damned good first recording. IMHO.

It’s not bad. He needs to work on his phrasing, but his voice is pleasing enough.
And for what it’s worth I’m no fan of Bubbles. Personally I don’t think he’s all that great of a singer. He has skill and training on his side, but his voice itself is so-so at best.

I like his singing and style a lot more than Steve Grand. He has a very pleasing voice with good pitch and control. Yes the lip-synching was terrible. It dosen’t look like he was singing in the video, but trying to match his mouth to the words of the song. I have seen music videos being made where singers are actually singing the song to make sure they have a perfect match.

He has a very good, strong voice.
I like that he filmed this video in Dupont Circle (DC) while the gingko trees were at their peak of gold color.

Best of luck, now go and get lessons on lip syncing.
Not being narky just honest.
