While visiting human drunk tank Chelsea Handler last night on her E! talk show, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis finally came clean about their relationship.
Joking that everyone, at least the internet, thinks he’s gay, Macklemore eventually throws his hands up in exasperation and “comes out.” Meanwhile, how his fiancé is dealing with this news is anyone’s guess.
Of course, it’s far more embarrassing to meet on MySpace than it is to be gay, but if they actually were, maybe Le1f would close the library and stop reading them for filth.
Oh, and the internet really does think Macklemore is gay. And/or garbage, apparently:
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

While I’m happy that they both think that fact that people think they’re gay is no big deal – they don’t have to jump all over the rumors and scream “I”M STRAIGHT”- why can’t they just be recognized as gay friendly alias? What’s wrong with a little straight love and support?
Regardless, their song is amazing (still brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it) and their support is heartwarming.

Just because someone asks “are you gay or straight?” and he answers truthfully, “I’m straight” doesn’t mean he’s yelling it to the roof-tops. It also must be annoying giving interviews to 10 different media outlets and they all ask if you’re gay, like you’ve been caught having man-sex and you’ve never given an interview before.
BrandoPolo
I wish people would stop annoying, harrassing, and scaring away our straight allies with this stupid speculation.
When they are asked “are you gay?” the correct answer is “no, but who cares?”
DarkZephyr
Yeah its weird that today people still assume you are gay if you are a man who is an ally to gays. So dumb.

Haha I love these guys. I’m still trying to get over the fact that they performed Same Love and even spoke out about it when accepting the award! Historic moment for MTV. I’m sure Gaga was like “FINALLY I’m not alone!” lol.

@Sebizzar:
Oh please Gaga is hardly the first and most prominent celeb to be an advocate for gay rights. Learn your history!
Ridpathos
I think 99% of the reason people think he’s gay is not because he’s a gay ally. Not because he is in a group with another fashionably dressed man, but mostly because of that hair.
When I saw that hair, I thought he had to be gay. Then again I met another dude who had hair just like it and he was straight (well had a girlfriend, but identified as bi).

He’s gay……

@xtincta: I never said she was the first :/ She just seems to be the only one who cares enough to make it well known how much she supports and fights for the LGBT community (as if you didn’t know).

I think that jacket he wore in the Thrift Shop would lead anyone to surmise he was gay. Whatever his sexuality congrats to them for just going past one million in album sales on their self-owned independent label. That is a stunning success.

WTF is wrong with people? I think it’s awesome to have a straight ally like Macklemore who fights fiercely our battle. I agree with BrandoPolo, we don’t want to scare our straight allies like this.
