WATCH: Maine Firefighters Weigh In On Why They Support Marriage Equality
In November, Mainers will vote on Question 1, which would allow same-sex couples to marry in the Pine Tree State. To help kick things into overdrive, Mainers United launched this new ad today, featuring a team of firefighters speaking about why they’re voting “Yes on 1.”
We’re suckers for a man in uniform (seriously, even the dog catcher gives us the vapors) but smoke eaters have always been our favorite. Now we have another reason to fantasize about them.

Fire fighters have very, very high prestige. This video almost made me cry when I saw it. The part about being able to go home to the one you love is heart wrenching. This will play really well with the middle.
