WATCH: My Week With Marilyn Gets A Modern Mashup Trailer

We’re kinda living for this remix trailer for My Week with Maryilyn, which opens in select cities tomorrow. Not only are Eddie Redmayne, Dominic Cooper and Dougray Scott hunky—and Michelle Williams divine—but Mike Relm’s stacatto edit of the trailer, using Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away,” is downright infectious.

Sigh, why can’t we have screen goddesses falling into our arms like that—or at least handsome British gentlemen?

Michelle is a great actress but I don’t think there’s a single woman in Hollywood that can convey the beauty, sex appeal and vunerability of Marilyn. Michelle is pretty, Marilyn was perfection.

the film does not convey how fat and flabby marilyn monroe was, because our current actors and actresses are a lot slimmer.

I mean look at clark gable and spencer tracey and humphrey bogart. These ugly fuckers were considered male sex gods in their time!

I’ve never understood the appeal of marilyn monroe, but then that’s because I fancy men – attractive men.

Michelle may be a fine actress, but she barely passses a “pretty.” Why does Hollywood cast “plain-to-homely” actresses as great sex goddesses like Dietrich, Monroe, Harlow, etc.? I just don’t get it. There has never been a shortage of beautiful women in Hollyood; some of them must be able to act.

Marilyn is probably the most recognizable and desirable female celebrity ever. I like Michelle as an actress but she doesn’t have the psychicality to play the ultimate screen goddess….but I guess there isn’t another woman alive who does
