NBC’s Great White Wat drama Smash is obviously turning up the diva factor for its second season, debuting February 5: From Katharine McPhee telling Megan Hilty she can take wait for the next elevator to J-Hud hitting the high notes and giving some words of advice about keeping on top.
Hudson plays two-time Tony winner Veronica Moore, who’s obviously upsetting an already upset apple cart. Joining the Oscar winner when Smash returns are Liza Minnelli, Sean Hayes and Rescue Me hunk Daniel Sunjata, who will play a new love interest for Debra Messing’s Julia Houston.
We’re living for the soapy conflicts and Broadway flair but the music itself is a little, um, rough around the edges. Or maybe we’re just being too demanding. Are you excited for the new season?

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Smash returns to NBC on Tuesday, February at 9pm.

sure hope this show gets a whole lot better than it was before. started out great, but then deteriorated into relationship soap opera drama instead of singing and dancing
