The new season of HBO’s gore-and-sex fest Game of Thrones doesn’t start until April, but the network is already releasing this tempting trailer.
Season One gave us that psychotic bitch, King Joffrey, and plenty of eye candy—not to mention a gay sex scene between Loras Tyrell and Renly Baratheon—and Thrones producer George R. R. Martin has said he’s well aware of the call from certain quarters for more male nudity in the show.
Anyone reading the books know if we can even hope for more man-on-man action in the new season?
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

This line from Renly is in the second book: “Stay Loras, and pray with me”.
Man worship, confirmed.

Personally, I don’t give a shit how “gay” it will be. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see cute guys on it, but a good show is a good show and that is all that matters.
Japhet
Really? No one on the Queerty staff read these books? Or had access to Wikipedia? Or a coffee shop full of loud hipsters and nerds? What kind of writers are you?
Tim
Loras makes a beautiful statement regarding his love for Renly.
Bryan
Nope, except the show’s creators deviate slightly from the book or decide to give gay fans visuals, by adding stuff like they did with the shaving scene in the first scene, there won’t be much m/m love.
Maybe you could start covering Spartacus? The show’s creators has promised a bit of that.
Red Meat
@Bryan: but Spartacus is a boring show, I feel like I’m watching reused scenes from the Rome series one moment and the movie 300 the next.

There was a male frontal nudity scene in the 1st season. It wasn’t in a gay context, but it was there.

Why do all fantasy books/movies/series all look the same? Boring. Not even gay sex can get me interested.
