The President of the United States takes a page from the leader of the gay nation, Lady Gaga. Our one complaint? He sounded a little tinny.

Pandering to the sheeple. This man pushed to delay the vote to eliminate DADT after it was removed from the Defense Authorization Bill. Pelosi had the balls to go against this administration and bring DADT-repeal up in a stand-along bill AND she got it passed.

This President is nothing but a trojan-horse Republican. Haven’t you noticed that his pretty words and deep thoughts are almost always followed by signing Republican legislation. Tax-cut for millionaires; signed. Drilling in the Gulf; endorsed. Wars extended; endorsed. Conversion from military to private contractors (not actually ending the war); completed. Bail-outs for banksters and Wallstreet scam-artists; completed. Elimination of habeus corpus and permanent detention w/o trial; signed. Drone wars; done. Assassination of Americans; approved.

This man is fooling the sheeple into becoming Republicans. He is insideous.

How condescending…I mean really! But some people have no self-respect and love to be pandered too. Gay men are certainly taking a page out of the black playbook…It hasn’t worked very well for them, it ain’t gonna work any better for the gays. Make no mistake I will vote for Obama, because the other side is vile, but this was disgusting to watch!

I’m afraid to watch this…did he sing the song in front of a bunch of gay troops
or was he talking about DADT when he did this? I don’t want to be traumatized
for the rest of the day but the writer didn’t describe the context. Is this real?

@Ryan: no, it’s just a stupid video where they cut words from his speeches and form the words from the song.
he’s not actually singing, and it’s really entirely pointless.

@Ryan: He did not even sing it… If you watch the video, you will see that they just mashed a bunch of clips of single-words of his, and made an entire song out of it.

I agree Ronbo, Obama is no ‘fierce advocate’ for LGBT rights and never has been nor will he ever will be.

While I didn’t vote for Obama and haven’t been a big fan, you are simply a moron if you believe he has done nothing for the LGBT community.

He’s the first president to ever confront issues the LGBT community deals with in public and in numerous speeches. There haven’t actually been quite a large number of bills, laws, etc. granting us rights we previously did not have.

What disgusts me is the ignorance, especially with politics, that exists within the LGBT community. It’s as if same-sex marriage isn’t legalized nationwide, people think he’s sitting on his ass doing nothing. I have respect for the man for pushing these issues, rather he’s pushed them as much as you think he should or not, he’s spoke about our community and mentioned equality far more than any president in our history.

Forcing laws and beliefs upon an entire nation is not going to do anything positive for us except pander to most people self-absorbed and tiny minds. In fact, it would do more harm for him to have simply repealed DADT or anything of the sort because it’s exactly what we yell at the people on the far right for doing.

Fact is, we would be in a lot worse of a position had McCain/Palin been elected. Sure, Obama does a lot that I don’t agree with but I also, unlike many people, have the ability to give credit where credit is due, even to politicians I don’t support or like.

Correction; Meant there has actually been quite a large number…

@Jawsch: Yes, McCain would have been unable to lead the Democrats to begin to defund Social Security; which is exactly what Obama did. McCain would not have been able to begin assassinating Americans; which is what Obama did (with the support of Dems in Congress). When people acknowledge “that only Nixon could go to China” they mean that there are certain things that Dems are trusted to do and certain things that Repubs are trusted to do. Obama is faking being a Dem to undermind our government for the 99%. Listen to his actins, dummy, NOT HIS WORDS!

Obama is a trojan-horse in the Democratic party to push Republican policy. When people talk about “all the fantastic laws that Obama passed”, please note that Obama didn’t write or push a single law: that’s what Congress does, my intelligently challenged friend. Obama has extended some elements to GLBT Americans; however, they expire as soon as he is out. He is playing you for fools.

If Obama was good on LGBT issues, it’d be a harder choice to not vote for him.

Huh!!!! I’m I living in an alternate universe??? All I can say is THANK GOD for our President! The man is brilliant and exactly what this country needs right now. If you disagree that’s fine, because we live in a country where you have a voice. This election year THINK before you vote. At least think about the past administration and the beautiful job they did digging us into a FABULOUS hole. ;-) PEACELUVNBWILDYALL!
