Video has surfaced of a group identifying itself as a “Muslim Patrol” harassing a man in East London, because it believed him to be gay.
The above clip, discovered by The Commentator, is prefaced by a logo announcing “Islam will dominate the world” and an anti-gay graphic. In it, unnamed members of the patrol make snide comments from off camera.
“Hello mate, don’t you know this is a Muslim area?” asks one member. “Why you dressed like that for?” Another shouts “Homosexual! Homosexual!”

When asked why they were bothering him, the group tells the man, “Because you’re walking through a Muslim area dressed like a fag. You need to get out of here.” A member also shout, “You’re gay mate, get out of here you bloody fag. Don’t stay around here anymore.”
The Muslim Patrol has posted several clips on its now-terminated YouTube page: One depict members defacing bus-shelter ads and another of them harassing people for drinking and dressing provocatively. “Several of the videos uploaded to the account have already been removed as they violated YouTube’s terms and conditions,” writes the Commentator. “One specifically states that YouTube deemed it intentionally ‘designed to bully, harass and threaten.'”
The clip above has been flagged as “potentially offensive or inappropriate.”

This is really galling. In the UK, just as in the USA, you have a right to free speech, but you don’t have the right to harrass and intimidate or threaten others in the name of your religion. In the meanest, ugliest manner I can muster, take your retro-fundamentalist-reactionary-Islam back to where it came from, because it doesn’t belong here in the West.
A “Muslim Area”?! In London?! Give me a fucking break. And where are the “anti-religious police”? The London PCs should arrest these thugs!

@2eo: You are exactly right. The clerical bullies and fascists aren’t coming – they’re already here, and so-called “progressives” left the gates wide open for them by constantly hiding behind the fig leaf of cultural relativism any time someone criticized religion, especially Islam.
To quote the Hitch’s toy metaphor for religion: “I’m perfectly happy for people to have these toys and to play with them at home, and hug them to themselves and share them with other people who come round and play with the toys. That’s absolutely fine. They are not to make me play with these toys. I will not play with the toys. Don’t bring the toys to my house. Don’t say my children must play with these toys. That is the problem: We permit religious fascism in all its forms under the guise of tolerance, yet where is tolerance when the clerical tyrants turn round on the progressives, demanding conformity from underneath an explosive vest?

Those of us who have warned about the infiltration of Muslims into urban areas are used to being shouted down by the so-called progressive front. Now, in Europe we are seeing the results of this attitude of forgiving all in the name of religious freedom. Vast areas of European cities such as London, Paris and Amsterdam are now “off limits” for gay people.

I have pointed this out before in the US, we have liberals who refuse to hold minorities to the same standard. Having said that, it is no doubt far worse in Europe.

@avesraggiana: No, you do not have free speech in the UK as in the US. The UK has hate speech laws, and they’re severe. America doesn’t have that. You won’t be arrested for making a ‘bigoted’ comment in the US. America has the most liberal laws when it comes to speech in the Western world.
