WATCH: Will Young’s “I Just Want A Lover”
As he prepares for his West End debut in Cabaret, out pop singer Will Young dropped the video for “I Just Want A Lover,” the new single off his latest album, Echoes. You can totally have us, Will! Just pick up a gallon of milk and some eggs before you come over.
well, it’s a nice throwback to the good ol’ days of disco, catchy tune.
I have one question: I don’t know this singer (not really into pop music much), but, does he always sing in that quasi-falsetto?
I’m having difficulty imagining him singing in Cabaret with that kind of voice.

I don’t hate it, but there’s not much to it. If you close your eyes, it sounds like a sleepy Toni Braxton number or something. Also, if you want a lover, don’t work as a checkout clerk, just sayin.

What impresses me most is that he found the one shopping cart without a broken wheel.

Will Young’s latest is really great. It’s like peppy chill out music.
And yes, he sings in that falsetto a lot. But it works on his latest CD.

Loosing Myself is my absolute favorite of Will Young’s. I also love both Vevo videos for the song.

Man this video and song sucked. I agree with Red Assault they could have had the guy dress better.

Liked the music. WHile the video is different, I am not sure I get it. Is the point supposed be mundane life that’s so boring that its just off in his own mind contemplating his life?
