HARD & HYDRATED

Watermelon, It’s Nature’s Viagra! Plus Five Other All-Natural Male Enhancers

There’s nothing more refreshing than a cold, crisp slice of watermelon on a hot summer day. It’s sweet, it’s packed with Vitamin C, and at just 71 calories per serving, it’s a guilt-free snack. But that’s not all it’s good for.

A new study published in the journal Urology has found that watermelon juice can act as a natural treatment for erectile dysfunction. Citrulline is an amino acid found in high concentrations of watermelon that is believed to help improve blood flow to the penis.

A team of Italian researchers at the University of Foggia conducted the latest study. They observed the effect of citrulline supplementation on men who suffered from mild to moderate erectile dysfunction. 24 men with a mean age of 57 participated. They were each given citrulline for one month. Afterwards, half of them were healed of their erectile dysfunction and reported an increased libido.

“Although less effective than phosphodiesterase type-5 enzyme inhibitors [Viagra], at least in the short term, L-citrulline supplementation has been proved to be safe and psychologically well accepted by patients,” researchers concluded.

So there you have it, folks. Watermelon, it’s Nature’s Viagra!

Ginkgo Biloba

This herb helps increase blood to the head… and other body parts. It’s commonly taken as a memory booster, but a study conducted at the University of California found that ginkgo reversed sexual problems in 84% of men.

Kale

In addition to being gay, kale is believed to help increase circulation because of its high concentration of nitrates. Nitrates help open up blood vessels and increase blood flow. Several studies have been done on the beneficial effects of nitrates for erectile dysfunction.

Horny Goat Weed

This appropriately-named herb comes from Ancient China, where it was used thousands of years ago to help improve libido and erectile difficulties in men. Today it can be found in capsule-form in many local health food stores.

Tomatoes

Lycopene is a phytonutrient that is good for circulation, as well as improving sexual issues in men. It is found in deep red fruits like tomatoes and pink grapefruits.

Zac Efron

Of course, when all else fails, there’s always Zac Efron. The 26-year-old, blue-eyed dreamboat has been proven to elicit extreme excitement and jubilation in gay men the world over. Need a Zac Efron fix? Check out our photo appreciation of the young star.
