We Get That Lady Gaga Loves the Gays. But Does She Loves the Trans, Too?

gaga_intro1

Sadly for this interview in (the recently re-logo-ized) Out magazine from the excellent Joshua David Stein and Noah Michelson: it went to print before Lady Gaga’s supposed penis was flashed and became a YouTube phenomenon. So while the gays will fawn over how much The Gaga is in love with us — “I just want to be clear before we decide to do this together: I’m gay. My music is gay. My show is gay. And I love that it’s gay. And I love my gay fans and they’re all going to be coming to our show. And it’s going to remain gay.” — we want an on-the-record question-and-answer to that publicity stunt. Well, at least there was a hot photo spread.

She’s not intersexed. She’s clearly using sarcasm right there.

She is just not my musical taste; however, I like her and respect her as an artist. What I like about her most is that she can and actually does write a lot of her own music. Normally, its a country thing when the singing artist can actually write his/her own lyrics, but its nice to see that in the pop world with Lady Gaga.

Her music is truly awful. It’s unoriginal tween pop combined with her caterwauling the same shit over and over.

@Shannon: I’d love to hear some of this ‘unoriginal tween pop’ you speak of. Maybe I’m too old but last time I checked tweens weren’t singing about riding on a dick and putting on an act while having sex with a man.

I’m not the hugest fan of her music but she is the only artist in recent memory that I can think of that seems…smart. Britney always seemed like the product of a marketing team. GaGa has always come across as her own inventor. I’m very curios to see where she’ll go with her music on future albums.

@Michael Li Preti: I was speaking of the music itself i.e. the musical accompaniment. It sounds like some cheap shit made with Fruity Loops or MTV Music Generator.

She is not a friend. Making a statement such as “I love gay, but I am not gay, but I love the widdle gays who come to my show” shows a desperate little girl trying to cling to her only demographic, where the majority of intelligent peeps see through her. Please.

Yes, her music is “tween pop”……the majority of her audience is little girls, for real, people. She thinks she’s cutting edge but I do get rather uncomfortable thinking that this girl wants to be a “gay icon” while at the same time promoting children riding on “disco sticks”. Who is gonna get blamed for corrupting youth along with Lady ID10T?

I could give a flying, er, truck, that she writes her own music. This always seems to be a big “defense” of this sad little heiress. Yet she seems to be unable to pen something as mildly stirring as “Like a Prayer”. She is a horrible Peaches lyrically. Maybe she should have listened to “Ziggy Stardust” and found you can combine pop and multisyllabic words?

Desperate times require desperate measures. But the gay community sees through you, baby.

I think Lady Gaga’s a phony who is exploiting the gay community to make money. Keep in mind that she’s the product of a record company run by men. She’s their product. When these men get together in their conference rooms, their first instruction is “market yourself to gay men”. It’s the same formula Madonna used in her early days.

I can only urge gay men to look at how Lady Gaga consistently fails to put any male-male sensuality in her official music videos. Some would say her true colors are evident there.
