We Support One of These Two New Boy George Projects

It’s hard to tell whether Boy George’s announcement that Culture Club could reunite on its 30th anniversary is a real threat, but we’re more apt to see his prison play, written with the DJ Jonathan Harvey, which would be a one-man show about being Boy George in jail, and that would be art.

I actually find it offensive that he is making a play and profiting from committing a violent crime against another person. I doubt he will show any type of remorse or even mention why he got sent to the jail in the first place.

I would prefer a Culture Club reunion. That would be a lot more classy in my view.

But in all likliehood neither of these will ever happen. George has a history of announcing thing that he never does.

Jonathan Harvey is not a DJ – he’s a playwright, you fools!
He wrote Beautiful Thing, Closer To Heaven (Pet Shop Boys musical), and the TV series Gimme Gimme Gimme…
      Jeez!
