Hey, remember July 2006? Lance Bass sure does. That’s the summer when, in the course of 48 hours, he gave People magazine the go-ahead to run his exclusive coming out story. His one request: deliver a more creative cover than one that just says “I’m gay.” So, uh. Yeah. [Three Minute Talk Show]

His career is being Gay. I really wish entertainers would just keep their private lives private – who the feck cares what they do off stage or screen.

Being gay isn’t what he does, it’s what he is. Do you also think that Agnelina Jolie and Brad Pitt should have never mentioned that they were married and hid the fact that she was pregnant if asked?

Being Gay is not a talent…Wise up Lance!!

@Cam: No, in his case being gay is both what he is and what he does. He doesn’t act, sing, dance or practice law. He’s just the token gay celebrity. Kind of sad.”

Actually your point is well taken. Siiiiigh, you’d think with all the gay kids in Drama club we could find a better celeb to be the token gay.

@justiceontherocks: LOL, Lance *is* a professional gay: couldn’t he take acting classes, produce music or found a chàríty or something? I’m more interested in what someone like Wanda Sykes who manages to keep doing her thing (comedy) & incorporates her gayness into it. Lance surely has other talents than just being “out,” eh what?
Huge fan of Fred Willard. I’ve seen Best in Show at least 10 times and always find some inside joke I’d missed before.

Does this guy have a job or something? Does he do anything we should be interested in? In 2011 can you still prolong your otherwise dead career by showing the gay card? Haven’t we moved past that?
On the brighter side, it’s always good to see Fred Willard who was great in two of the best movies ever made: Best in Show and Wall-E.
