Um.. it’s true cuz you and the Atlantic said so? There is no causality that is obvious to me. They can be co-occurring phenomena, or something else altogether.

Magazines are a waste of paper and landfill. I buy a few on my Kindle, but that is it now.

Perez’ awfulness hasn’t much to do with his appearance. He is just sort of smarmy and yucky generally.

It really is unfortunate, indeed tragic that people don’t read anymore; apart from the dissociated experience of the web.
I saw an article in the Atlantic about how relying on the web for information had extreme destuctive consequeces for peoples ability to reason and think in any ordered fashion. It’s true.
The obvious fact about Perez is that he’s a contentious person and, just because we don’t like him and he’s unfortunate looking, doesn’t mean it’s poor journalism to picture him.

While I relate to his anger, and I even use the word “Faggot” (appropriately, IMO), he was a gross human being before this incident, and a gross human being afterward.

That’s a very interesting question as for years gay press has said that they can’t put people of color on the cover as it caused a drop in sales, I wonder if this bigot who happens to be gay will sell more magazines?
