What If Super Mario And Princess Toadstool Swapped Genders?

Why do straight males always get to be the heroes in the Mushroom Kingdom? A Canadian art student decided to depict the Brooklyn plumbing duo and their royal sweethearts as a gender-swapped foursome and we kinda love it; even though Luisa on the left looks like she’s about to burst into tears—camera shy we guess.

Even though it’s just a picture, it’s always good to see a trans character in gaming besides the slutty cop in Street Fighter X Tekken. The only other genderbending Mario Bros character that comes to mind is Birdo, the egg-shooting dino from the 1988 NES-based Super Mario sequel.

They aren’t gender bending…? What are you talking about? The girls are wearing female clothing and the men are wearing men’s clothing.
