I know this is not a genuine ad, but it raises a point.
I care deeply about nature and animals. I am a vegetarian. I would like to support PETA, but they do some of the most ridiculous things, and I think it really hurts their credibility with most of the public.
Throwing paint on a private citizen’s fur coat is uncalled for, and how often does the target turn out to be fake fur?
Now they’re going after that stupid Pennsylvania ground hog. That ground hog is probably better treated than any other ground hog on earth. How many groundhogs have ever been to a vet?
It’s things like this that keep me and others from donating to or joining this organization. Probably most of what they do is fine, but they need to work on their image.

@Rick: I couldn’t agree more. I’m vegetarian, I feel like I do my part, and PETA does some good, but a lot of the extremists are just plain crazy… Like chill out, like will go on. That chinchilla didn’t get a job and pay you to protect it, like a bodyguard or something… haha, I’m kidding…
