Roxy’s, a gay bar in Buffalo that celebrated its 10th birthday this month, had a special guest last night: the failed gubernatorial candidate, Buffalo local, and poop festishist Carl Paladino. Don’t remember him? Oh, he’s just the man who said he “just think[s] my children and your children would be much better off and much more successful getting married and raising a family, and I don’t want them brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option — it isn’t.” Oh, and the same guy whose real estate firm Ellicott Development Company that used to play landlord to two of the town’s gay bars before things changed.
A Reddit user spotted (uploaded?) the photo, which we cross-checked against Roxy’s official Facebook page. And wouldn’t you know it, the neon figure behind him also appears in this photo, featuring a bartender with the same neon figure. (Here’s another shot from a different angle.)

We don’t know why Carl was there (fundgayser?) who or he went home with (a go-go dancer?), but one thing is for sure: that ain’t his wife Cathy. You know, the one he cheated on and fathered another child with. But hey, maybe going to the gay bars is the step Carl must take before hopping aboard one of those “disgusting” gay pride parade floats he loves so much.
Where will Carl pop up next?
@noblesoul: Good one.
@joe K: Sure he has the right to be there. But we have the right to make note of it, and discuss.

“Where will he pop up next?” I like the idea of Paladino being a Where’s Waldo of the queer world On a float @ NYC Pride? On the back of a Dyke on Bikes’ bike? @ Lucky Chengs or whatever drag/transgender thing is in NYC now. Behind a glory hole? YOU NEVER KNOW.

I went to Roxy’s when I lived in Buffalo. Its a lesbian bar, and good ole Carl was probably hoping to take a couple of chicks home for a 3some, like many str8 guys who hate/are disgusted by gay men but turned on by gay/bi girls. And how the hell did he get anyone thrown out? IDGI.

What ever happened to his hot nephew? Maybe they patched things up and the experience is affording Uncle KKKarl the chance to become more open and accepting of the lad. Who knows, he could wind up an ally in the battles that lie ahead. Then maybe I’ll stop calling him KKKarl.
