After taking her sweet time in responding to basic policy questions, Ms. Kennedy — via a spokesperson — declares she supports gay marriage. And she said so in the sort of concise, no-nonsense manner we wish the topic was so benign as to only require, but also so brief it's unclear whether she's given the issue much thought: "Caroline supports full equality and marriage rights for gay and lesbian couples." [Politico] Now, the question to you: Do you know enough about Kennedy to trust her to take over Hillary Clinton's U.S. Senate seat? Or has the paltry amount of information from the private political dynasty member left too many questions unanswered?

I'd take Caroline over Clinton any day. At least she supports full marriage equality, unlike Clinton.
I actually think Kennedy would be a fine senator, and her position on gay marriage is great. My only concern is what she represents in terms of aristocratic privilege in our country, which in the long run I don't think is good for anyone; yes, I like that she's liberal and GLBT-friendly, but who's to say the next aristocrat/celebrity won't be an asshole Republican who gets a similar pass when he/she decides a seat in the Senate (or like the next Bush who runs for Prez) would be a nice line on the resume.
i do trust caroline. she would be my first choice if it was mine to make.
I will trust her, she has been no more unknown than Barak Obama was and still is. All politicians seem to say what is convenient to there aspirations.
Ms. Kennedy has nothing to gain by saying she is in support of full marriage equality.
caro-k's position on gay "marriage" will be whatever emperor facebook tells her it is. just ask "reverend" warren. just ask Blackwater Domestic Intelligence. just ask bristol "shotgun baby" palin. lieberman uber alles!

Good Lord, has it been a week? Two? How much information do you expect to come tumbling out in that short period of time? And as at leasat one article has pointed out, two of NY's most influential and effective senators (Hillary Clinton, Daniel Patrick Moynihan) had no previous experience in electoral office.
