When Prop 8 Supporters Make Checks Out to “Hatred,” Here’s Where They’re Delivered

mailbox_money2

We’ve already got a good idea about who’s financially benefiting — through advertising, media buying, and PR services — from opposing marriage equality, but now we learn where all those checks are, literally, going: to Criswell Associates’s San Francisco P.O. Box, to Public Policy Strategies’ Nevada mailbox, and to the San Francisco rented box of Mar/Com Services Inc. (whose president Bill Criswell is also, apparently, chief of Criswell Associates). You know, so you fags don’t show up at their real addresses, if they exist, with protest signs.

The great thing about PO Boxes is anyone can get the boxholder’s real information if they want to. All you have to do is show up at the post office where the box is hosted and say you want to see it to investigate the possibility of legal action against the boxholder, or you need it to serve legal process. You cant (legally) lie about this, but the PO is obligated to turn over the boxholder’s card.

It’s equally likely the PO Boxes are tied to a bank depositing service – similar to where you send your bill payments. The money gets deposited right away.

Yep. It would be nice to see which bank is profiting off this. Wouldnt it be ironic if it was a bank thats always trying to talk about how good they are to thier communities?
