Wherein the Adorable Calen Gets a Grip on This Whole ’2 Husbands’ Thing

Behind the camera are husbands John Hill and Micah Schraft. In front of the camera is Calen (who is, what, six?), who on the Friday after Thanksgiving “stopped us to ask for help washing his hands,” who says, “This is the very first time I saw husbands and husbands. It’s so funny. So that means you love each other!” And that was that.

Have always thought it would be so excellent to have a minature spokesperson to basicaly tell the rightwing lunatics that a perfectely well adjusted normal kid can accept two Gays together without any issues, so why can’t “mature well adjusted” adults?????

Kids know love when they see it. They know how important it is and they know that love trumps the wingnuts. Such a non-issue.

Kids are wonderful in the since that they can look at something and not judge it. True, he did say it was wierd, and I imagine that at 6, I probably would have thought the same thing. But the fact that he realized it wasnt the norm, but saw the love in the relationship and realized thats all you need just goes to show the beauty in kids. All they need is love, and in return will love you right back, no questions asked. This is how the world should work.

oh noes! what is the world coming to by exposing this child to, umm, two loving adults!!!

This is the sort of thing those indoctrinated religious idiots complain about, this sort of “exposure” while they teach their children about eternally burning in hell and how all their non-Christian friends will suffer such consequences.

What an amazingly stupid world we live in

Terrwill – you know I love your posts, but you just don’t get it! The right wing religious nutballs totally understand that kids don’t care! That is why it is SO IMPORTANT to teach them right from wrong! As soon as possible! :)

Yeah, it’s really just that simple, isn’t it?

This kid is more of a Christian than most Christians aspire to be.

Love this; it takes him one minute to figure it out, and then, “I’m going to play pingpong now. You can play if you want to.” Great kid.

Looks like this gorgeous little kid is young enough to see things clearly, not yet taught what boys and girls do and do not do.

Super cute!

Maurice Sendak, the great gay, children’s book creator and illustrator was once asked why he liked children since he didn’t have any himself. His answer? “They’re not racist and they don’t lie.”

Hey there,

I first read about this video on Advocate.com. Since then, I’ve seen numerous sights with an outdated link, or a reference to it. There’s been no explaination of why it’s been removed from YouTube, and why no one is able to view it. I would really appreciate the oppurtunity to view it. If anyone has a link, or information about seeing it, I would greatly appreciate it if you could contact me with details. Thank you.
