Where’s It Gay & Proudest? Vote For Your Favorite Pride City And Win A Vacation Package For Two!

The wait is over: The nominations are in for our sister site’s annual Best of GayCities poll—and this year the competition is fiercer than ever!

Today we’re looking at the out-and-proud nominees for the world’s best Pride city: Amsterdam, Atlanta, San Francisco, Sao Paolo, and Toronto. Who deserves top honors?

Amsterdam
The Dutch capital’s August Pride takes full advantage of the city’s glorious canal with a floating parade (above) that all of Amsterdam comes out to watch.

Atlanta
Held in October to honor National Coming Out Day, Atlanta Pride goes down in Southern style at the city’s iconic Piedmont Park, with about 200,000 attendees every time.

Sao Paolo
The world’ s biggest annual Pride event, Sao Paolo welcomes more than 3 million people to its no-holds-barred Brazilian gay carnival (right), marching down the city’s famed Avenida Paulista every June.

Toronto
Canadians come out in force to celebrate Toronto’s annual  Pride celebration in late June. In 2014, the city will host North America’s first World Pride.

San Francisco
One of the world’s oldest annual prides, San Francisco’s version takes place along Market Street, and happens in late June to commemorate the Stonewall Riots.

Now that you know who’s in the running, don’t delay: Vote now and you could be a winner, too! One lucky GayCities member will nab two tickets to the U.S. city of their choice (courtesy of our friends at American Airlines) and two nights at a top-rated hotel (courtesy of GayCities).

You’ve got until January 4 to add your voice to the mix!

All winners will be announced on January 5. Anyone can vote but entrants must be GayCities members to qualify for vacation package.
