Does that line refer back to the first sentence about the prenup? Usually “sentence reduced” would imply some sort of criminal sentence…..which doesn’t make any sense in this context.
@Alec: I think ‘sentence’ in this case suggests a prison sentence, i.e. that being married to the man in question is akin to being locked up.
