While Malawi’s Tiwonge Chimbalanga Waits On Canada To Welcome Her, She’s Being Attacked

Tiwonge Chimbalanga (pictured on right), one half of the Malawian couple arrested over their engagement ceremony, and who was pushed aside by fiance Steven Monjeza (who took up with a woman amidst mounting anti-queer pressure), has been violently attacked while she waits on an asylum claim with Canadian officials. In the meantime, Chimbalanga’s advocates are considering relocating her to South Africa for her safety.

      @Steve

      As it says in my linked-to report, Tiwonge has confirmed that she wants to be referred to as female.
