When the Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA championship, President Barack Obama called head coach Phil Jackson to congratulate him. What will the White House do upon learning Kei Koizumi, who works for Obama in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, won the gold medal at the 2010 Gay Games in Cologne for the 110-meter hurdles? Koizumi’s husband Jeff Dutton, who works in the Commerce Department, snagged the silver “in his first-ever marathon.”
