
“I’m hard-pressed to support a policy and a law that forces people to come and lie every day,” Adm. Mike Mullen, the Joint Chiefs chairman, told soldiers yesterday at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, where the DADT conversation inevitably follows. Citing 2011 as the earliest openly gay soldiers will be allowed to serve, Mullen did not answer the one question that’s been nagging us:
At which gay bar is he going to join us for a drink?

Not surprising that there are that many that close, kind of heartwarming actually.
