Whoa. FCKH8 Actually Made An Educational Video About MN’s 2012 Marriage Ban??
The FCKH8 campaign made a name for itself by getting kids to drop F-bombs in an attempt to sell t-shirts and raise awareness about anti-gay politics. This time, they’ve shamelessly pimped out straight guys in briefs and spastic MTV aesthetics to educate folks about how to respond to typical anti-marriage equality arguments you will hear in the Minnesota marriage battle over religion, “real” marriage, and the “unnaturalness” of gay sex. Are you listening, NOM and David Tyree?
Who doesn’t love 90′s colors?! Makes me think of Power Rangers, color-changing t-shirts, and equal rights.

I was initially like “ugh this is hard to watch”. Then it got really good and I started enjoying it.
Then they had those two under-age boys kiss. And once again I was like “oh dear”. Honestly? They only needed to say “if we grow up to be gay we want the ability to get married” while looking like two buddies. The kiss was inappropriate. Sorry.

Lets see, as national polls clearly indicate, younger sets of Americans overwhelmingly support gay rights including marriage rights. And dying off at a faster rate than the growing rate of young Americans eligible to vote, the “too old” to change won’t be voting in that many more elections.
And here is a group that creates video promotions supporting gay civil and marriage rights targeting the growing numbers of newer first/second or soon to be first time voters.
Good job FCKH8! I love your enthusiasm, the artistic nature, and the “in your face” FU to haters and bigots. BRAVO!!!

Constructive criticism, really?
1) ADHD people : WRONG: that’s it, make fun a folks who suffer from ADHD. But ADHD folks are not the target for this video. Obviously, it is too obvious for you!
2) Age 15-21 (or until one grows up and puts childish things away) : WRONG: You stay young by being young. Are you soooo old you have forgotten the fun of youth, full of revolt, full of ideas, full youthfully getting involved. Old people sure forget so easily the adventures of their youth; while the young-at-heart cheer youth on?
3) Foul mouthed hipsters : WRONG: Its called entertainment. SNL regularly performs skits with the very same attitude (just beeps instead of fuck). But, more importantly, why shouldn’t these young activists show the anger in the face of the angry attacks of “foul mouthed” bigots. Rick Santorum calls us ALL child molesting dog fucking shit eaters. Well fuck him and fuck his H8.
4) Faux LGBT “activists” : WRONG: how are they “faux”? There is nothing fake there: they see and hear hateful bigotry against themselves and their friends. This is grassroots at its finest.
5) Pedophiles (SEE: end of video) : AND WRONG WRONG WRONG : So you are saying that because Catholic priests and others assault and molest/rape children, two teen boys can’t kiss?
