Who’s Paying Fred Phelps Court Costs? Just the Father of the Dead Marine Who’s Suing Him
The father of Marine Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, Albert, has been ordered to pay some $16k to Fred Phelps, head of the Westboro Baptist Church, to cover Phelps’ legal fees in defending his right to picket the fallen sailor’s funeral; Snyder was already awarded a $5 million verdict. And now that their case is heading to the Supreme Court? Things are gonna get quite pricey.

This is wrong on so many levels, and more of this disgusting behavior will probably come out since people will feel immune. Yes, free speech, etc, but I hope that when one of the phelp’s die the GLTBQ community and military families come out to picket en masse.
