It’s been a while since we’ve had new music from George Michael, but the singer’s impact as one of the all-time great pop vocalists endures thanks to a long list of hits that includes “Father Figure,” “Careless Whisper” and “I Want Your Sex.” The 51-year-old former Wham! vocalist has also had an influence on another soulful hitmaker, Adele, has upfront about her love of the out entertainer, which is evidently reciprocated as Michael presented her with the Best Album award at the Brit Music Awards in 2012. To celebrate her 27th birthday yesterday, Adele took her love of the singer a step further and donned full scruff, aviators, and ’80s-style hair to channel Faith-era Michael.
Thank you for the birthday wishes I had a wonderful time! I was my hero x #gottahavefaith pic.twitter.com/FMSPQPUGMD
