Hmm David,

No people will not in this day and age ban interracial marriage. Wanna know why cause love it or hate it..interracial still involves a man and a woman. Race might irk some peope but it will not be an issue such as a man and another man getting married.

My neighbours look about to hurl when i mention the idea of two men married with kids. It does not compute to them at all.

Yes, but Obama promised, PROMISED, to be a ‘fierce advocate’. Never once mentioning the Maine ballot issue is hardly being a ‘fierce advocate’, rather it is an utter dereliction of advocacy.

No worries, he’ll receive the same level of support in the next election from many GLBT people as he has given them in this one.

The reality is that the “Yes on Eight” campaign, which lied about all sorts of things, lied about Obama – he in fact had publicly opposed Proposition Eight calling it divisive. the “Yes on Eight” side used an out-of-context and misleading clip at the very end of the campaign, when both McCain and Obama were trying to get as many votes as possible in “swing” states. Would you rather have had Obama lose the election and get McCain, who actually was in favor of Proposition Eight, instead?

If you want to blame anyone, blame the “No on Eight” campaign – they could have used the clips of Obama saying that Proposition Eight is divisive to counter the other side’s lies. They didn’t.

If the bigot vote wins in Maine and in Washington today, it will be ALL President Obama’s fault just like Prop 8 was! Obama’s silence on gay’s civil rights being voted away is nothing less than passive approval.
