Will Ireland’s New All-Gay TV Show Feature Demonic Bridezillas?

It’s too early to tell how many parts Gay Nation, the new series premiering on Ireland television networks, will be Queer Eye and how many parts will be Infomania, but either way I’m excited about any program that threatens to resurrect the scandal of anti-gay politico Iris Robinson.

Gay Nation is “not just for gay people, many of the issues the programme will look at will interest the hetero community,” says host Joe Kearney (pictured). “So much of what is happening in this country is of interest to all people, regardless of their sexual persuasion and we intend to reflect that – but first and foremost, we will be gay in outlook.” Like those civil unions I keep hearing so much about!

Ugh, when will people learn, Iris Robinson is NORTHERN IRISH, or British, and would HATE to be thought of as IRISH, being a Unionist. Please stop referring to her as one, and in articles mentioning the Republic of Ireland, which for all intents and purposes, is a different COUNTRY than NI, with a different currency, education system, government etc.

This tv show is no more likely to cover her than one anywhere else in the world.

And rightly so, the English can have her…
