When it comes to famous men dressing in drag for the cinema, there are instances that we know we’ll enjoy for proper artistic reasons, like Jude Law playing dress-up in Rage (a Fashion Week murder “tragicomedy” where Law plays a “celebrity supermodel”), and instances we’ll enjoy purely for their camp value, like Ryan Reynolds’ new “dude-in-drag romantic comedy, with Reynolds playing a jilted lover who must disguise himself as a woman and befriend his ex in order to win her back.” Apparently there was a bidding war over this shlock.
It will probably be saturated with stereotypes and filled with queerphobic jokes, but we’d never miss a chance to see Reynolds’ calves in a pair of five-inch pumps.

This plot sound a lot like the colombian telenovela: “En los tacones de Eva” (In Eva´s heels) and the wonderful mexican adaptation: “Por ella soy Eva”. With the incomparable Jaime Camil as Eve. Has this story something to do with that?

If Ryan Reynolds makes an anti-gay film, I’ll never watch another of his films.

Some str8 people seem obsessed with drag. These are the types and films that perpetuate stereotypes about the lbgt community.
ShowMeGuy
Drag is awesome and when characters in a story do it to get the girl or the laugh, it’s funny. We’re suppost to be gay; remember, lighten up.

Seeing Ryan Reynolds striking that pose, my first thought was they’re remaking Silence of the Lambs.
