You’re not friends with your friends your whole life sometimes… We don’t hate each other, they hate me. I’m cool… one of them really hasn’t spoken to me, well unless she needed something, since like November. It’s fine though, we are professionals and we had so much — on stage it was one of those things where nothing could go wrong, it was really nice. And then we could get back on stage and it would be like, ok — we were playing a role kind of. We were like everybody’s best friends.”
— Willam Belli explains his relationship Detox and Vicky Vox in the aftermath of the split of drag band DWV to comic Johnny McGovern on his new web talk show Hey Qween!

It’s weird that people can’t just shut up and ride the gravy train while it lasts. They were probably making much more money as the trio singing than they can make individually. Shut up, cash the checks and hang out with other people if you don’t like each other. Sheesh.

@Cam: it’s their egos that got in the way. I lost track of them after that boy is a bottom. I don’t think they would’ve had staying power beyond what they already did.

they were pretty good and it’s always nice seeing a blatantly queer group seeing mainstream commercial success. I’ll be looking forward to more stuff from Willam as a much more palatable queer Weird Al- “Love You Like a Big Schlong” and “RuPaulogize” were both good, we all know she was the Diana Ross of that group
