Like any guy who professes to play for both teams, New York State Sen. Hiram Monserrate swapped alliances again yesterday. After jumping to the Republican side last week, the Democratic senator re-swore his allegiance to the Democrats, leaving Democrat Pedro Espada Jr. still with the Republicans — and giving the Senate an even 31-31 split with just four days left in the legislative session. Sorry, gay marriage.
Can not David Patterson call them back for a special session to get done the people’s business. It’s not like he’s getting reelected or anything (which is a shame, because he’s awesome).
@Alex: Yes he can and its my understanding that he has stated that he will do so.
Remember these people, my NY gays, come election time. These “Lucys” ought to have a lot of “explainin to do.”
